Five years ago, I took a leap of faith and started my own business. I remember signing up for a $19/month online gallery software and feeling a wave of fear wash over me. I worried about making ends meet, and about the possibility of it being a complete failure. I had to buy a computer but felt really hesitant to take money from our family resources to buy it. I had no idea how long it would take. Would people really believe in me and my vision?
I remember a distinct moment when I looked at my husband in the kitchen and said "You know if I start this I can't just do it half-assed ." Then he responded with these three words: "Go for it."
I was navigating a whirlwind of raw emotions – the joy of becoming a first-time mother, the grief of losing my mom to cancer, losing my brother to mental illness, and the added stress of another pregnancy. The question lingered for a while. Could I really turn this overwhelming emotion into service for others?
With the support of incredible mentors and friends I started blazing a trail, connecting with people, trying hard, and this brand was born. I quickly realized that I wasn't alone in my journey of turning messiness into magic. Many others were on a similar path, seeking to find their purpose and make an impact.
So we dreamed together…
We created together…
We ignited impact together.
The fuel that kept me going is when I saw how your business became a brand you were proud of, visions came to life, and with your trust we moved mountains.
I just want you to know that your trust and support have been instrumental in my journey. Your referrals, kind words, and continued business have meant the world to me. I'm incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.
As I reflect on the past five years, I'm filled with gratitude and excitement for the future. There are some amazing new resources coming soon to help you make an even bigger impact doing the work you love. That's right, you heard it here first: we're growing.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Here's to many more years of creativity, collaboration, and success!
All my best,
Julie
