Set a Goal
One of the biggest goals in planning my own photoshoot was to showcase the different aspects of what I do. When you boil it all down, this is what I do: I answer your client’s most frequently asked questions in photos so they are more confident doing business with you.
So for my own shoot, I needed to convey exactly this.
Find the Right Photographer
So much planning went into this brand photo shoot, but one of the most important things was having a photographer that makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. With so many emotions running through my mind, I wanted to make sure everything went just right.

Answer Frequently Asked Questions
As a brand photographer, the question I get asked most often is: “What do I wear?!”
Don’t worry; I spend a lot of time making sure my clients are well-prepared for their photo shoots. In our brand strategy session, we’ll figure out a color palette and several “looks” to compliment your brand strategy.
For my brand photo shoot I had a “CEO” look, which was a more formal version of what I wear to a session, then a “Behind the Scenes” look, featuring more casual work attire. I also had a playful look with jeans and a neutral blouse. These small details are actually very important steps to walk through, ahead of time, so everything is cohesive for your shoot.
Have a team to photograph? The process starts the same; we’ll start by meeting for your brand strategy session. Then, once we decide on the goals of our shoot, I’ll provide the team with a customized color palette and wardrobe guidelines, and make sure everyone knows to bring a few different options so I can coordinate on the day of our shoot.
