Photographing Home Interiors: Wisconsin Interior Designer Ash Lane Design

Preparing for Your Brand Photography Shoot

When preparing for your branding shoot, the most important thing to showcase is not just what you do and how you do it, but also why you do it. With Ashley from Ash Lane Design (www.AshLaneDesign.com), we started working together just as her brand was starting to come alive.  We spent time breathing life into her brand and hashing out what gives her a unique marketing position in her field of interior design.  Ashley loves to make her clients fall in love with every room of their home. This makes for amazing homes and joyous clients.

My goal when photographing personal brands is to tell the story behind the brand.

Interior Design Photography

For interior designers, hiring a professional photographer to showcase the details, textures, colors, and function of their design means upleveling your business.  Interior photographers understand ratios, depth of field, and lighting tricks to get the best representation of your work. No matter what field you are in, I can guarantee the best investment you can make for yourself and your business is professional photographs.

While an iPhone pic might suffice to quickly exhibit whatever you’re working on, professional photographs are paramount to help you, your brand, and your business put your best face forward and show consistent, cohesive branding.

Interior Design Photography Session

For this shoot, Ashley chose to showcase a home in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.  The client had lived in this house for 40+ years and it was time for an update.  Ashley was very careful to honor the existing character of the home while also reviving the paint colors, carpet, fabrics, pillows, and artwork. She also made sure to incorporate some new details in old places.  This location displayed her genius eye for design perfectly. We timed the shoot to take full advantage of the natural light, and brought in special decor details to add the icing on the cake.

Her client was so impressed she actually purchased most of the decor details after out shoot!

Perhaps it’s just a few photos for Instagram—or maybe it’s a complete creative overhaul and you need a few sessions with me for brainstorming so we can make sure we tell your story through brand photography—but whatever it is I’m here to help and I can’t wait to get started!
